Abstract

|
Anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery from ascending aorta is rare congenital cardiovascular malformation and patent ductus arteriosus, tetralogy of Fallot, aortopulmonary window and interruption of aorta are common coexisting lesions.
Early diagnosis and surgical correction are required to prevent congestive heart failure and pulmonary vascular obstructive change which develop early in life.
We report one case of anomalous origin of right pulmonary artery from ascending aorta which was diagnosed by echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and angiography, and which was successfully corrected by surgery.
